what does AI development for a business include
Quick answer

What does AI development for a business include?

AI development means building software that uses AI to handle one specific piece of work, such as answering customer questions, sorting and routing requests, reading documents, drafting replies or updating your systems, and connecting it to the tools your team already uses. With Rubiera Productions that covers finding the right first task, building the assistant or automation, testing it on your real examples, adding guardrails and human review where they matter, and monitoring it after launch.

It is not a chatbot bolted onto your website, and it is not a replacement for your team. Each project starts small, on one well-defined task, and grows only as it earns trust.

  • One clear task at a time, chosen with you.
  • Built on your own documents, data and tools.
  • Rules, limits and a person to hand off to.
  • Tested on real examples before customers see it.
  • Monitored after launch, so problems surface early.

Tell us where your team's time goes. We will tell you honestly whether AI can help.

What we build

Five ways AI goes to work in your business.

Each one is shown below the way it actually looks. Most projects combine two or three.

Assistants

Assistants that know your business

A website assistant answers common questions, qualifies enquiries and books time, using your own pages, policies and pricing rather than the open internet. An internal assistant does the same for your team over your documents. When it is not sure, it says so and hands the conversation to a person with the context attached.

Automation

Workflows that run themselves

Something happens: a form is submitted, an invoice arrives, a quote goes unanswered. The workflow reads it, works out what kind of thing it is and does the next step, whether that is updating the CRM, drafting a reply or routing it to the right person. Anything risky pauses for a human to approve.

Integrations

Connected to the tools you already use

Most of the value is in the connections. We link AI steps to your CRM, email, calendar, spreadsheets, payments, database or any tool with an API, so information moves on its own instead of being retyped. You keep your current tools; we build the bridges.

Inside your software

AI features inside your own app

Summaries, suggested replies, smarter search, document reading: features that live inside a customer portal, dashboard or internal tool. They are built as a normal part of the app, with the same testing and security attention, and a person sees the draft before it goes out. Need the app itself first? See our Web Apps service →

Guardrails, testing and monitoring

AI can be wrong, so we design for it. Rules limit what it can say and do, tricky cases go to people, and we test the behaviors that matter before launch. After launch, logs and review show what it handled and what it handed off, so it can be tuned instead of trusted blindly.

Human in the loop

Your people stay in charge of the decisions that matter.

AI handles the repetitive first pass. Approvals, exceptions, relationships and judgment calls stay with the people who know your business.

Where do you fit?

What could AI do in your business?

Pick a function. These are illustrative examples of tasks that suit AI, not client results and not a promise that each one fits your business. Discovery is how we find out which are worth building.

How a project runs

The autonomy ladder: AI earns responsibility step by step.

We start with people in control and give the AI more of the work only where it has proven itself on your real cases.

  1. 01Understand

    Discover

We map how the work happens today, pick one task worth improving and agree what a good result looks like.

    Who decidesYou decide everything.
  2. 02Suggests

    Prototype

A first version runs on your real examples (past emails, questions, documents) so you can see it before anyone else does.

  3. 03Drafts

    Pilot

It runs alongside your team. The AI drafts; people review every output and we log what they correct.

    Who decidesAI drafts, people approve.
  4. 04Acts within limits

    Launch

Guardrails on, integrations connected. Low-risk steps run on their own; anything else waits for a person.

    Who decidesAI acts within limits.
  5. 05Earns more

    Improve

We review logs, tune the rules and prompts, and widen the AI's role only where it has earned it.

You choose how far up the ladder each task goes. Some tasks stay at "AI drafts, a person approves" for good, and that is a perfectly good place to stop. Timelines depend on scope; we give a range after discovery.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers, including the uncomfortable ones. The same ones we give on a first call.

Today it is most useful for language and document work: answering common questions, sorting and summarizing incoming messages, reading invoices and forms, drafting replies and reports, and moving information between the tools you already use. It is less suited to tasks that need judgment, empathy or accountability, and those stay with people. We will tell you plainly when a task is not a good fit.

That is not the goal of our projects. The aim is to take repetitive work (copying, sorting, chasing, first drafts) off your team so they have more time for judgment, relationships and decisions. Every project keeps a person in the loop for anything that matters, and you choose how much the AI does on its own. What you do with the time it frees up is your call.

We treat your data as sensitive by default: connecting only what a workflow needs, limiting what can access it, keeping credentials out of code, and telling you up front where data is processed and which AI providers are involved, so you can decide what is appropriate to share. No page can promise perfect security, so the specifics, including any industry requirements you have, go into the project scope and agreement.

It can, as any AI system can. So we design for it: rules limit what the assistant may say or do, anything uncertain or sensitive goes to a person, we test the situations that matter before launch, and logs let us see and fix mistakes afterwards. We will not claim it is always right, and we will not set it up as if it were.

No to both. We connect to the tools you already use, such as your CRM, email, calendar, spreadsheets or anything with an API, and most first projects start with the documents and examples you already have. We build with Python, Node.js, React, Next.js and TypeScript, and choose what fits your setup rather than forcing a platform.

It starts with a conversation about where your team's time goes. From that we propose one small, well-defined first project, a pilot you can judge on real work, with a clear scope and quote. Cost depends on what it connects to and how much review it needs, so we scope it with you before any work begins.
